The realization of the Africa Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) goals will take more than just Policies and International trade treaties. It will require an inclusive logistic transportation system that links the local producers, MSMES and farmers to the market. The Africa we want can only be achieved by 2063 when the process and the implementation are inclusive.
The AfCFTA provides a unique and the best opportunity for the African producers, exporters and all those involved in the value chain to contribute to the Africa we want through easy access to the market. Over 278 million people in Africa suffer from chronic hunger and 8/10 MSMEs fail within three years because of inefficient transportation systems and market linkages.
Our role as Rojos Logistics is to provide and effective and hybrid transportation and logistics system that enables the farmers and MSMEs have easy access to the market through a digital logistic hub, quality fleets of transports and effective use of the Kabale International Airport. Thus, UGANDA HYBRID LOGISTICS AND TRANSPORTATION CENTRE (UHLTC).
The UHLTC is an initiative of Rojos Logistics and Partners to bridge the existing logistic gaps in the operationalization of Africa Continental Free Trade Area. The UHLTC will be a state-of-the-art facility that will house a warehouse facility, CID, U-Flow warehouse system with cold chain and fleets of efficient trucks. It is currently designed and located in the heart of Africa in western Uganda.
At the initiation stage, the Centre will operate 100 fleet trucks, links over 20000 farmers to the market, provide cold-chain transportation systems. As the project progresses, the UHLTC will remodel to include air-cargo transportation and the railway support system.
